The days have been lengthening since the winter solstice 62 days ago. In 28 days we'll reach the vernal equinox when the daylight and nighttime hours are equal, and then on to the longest day of the year at the summer solstice on June 20th.
I saw Dark-eyed Juncos getting a drink from the sap wells I wrote about earlier.
As of May 8th all of Chester County remained in a moderate drought, perhaps that will finally change with this week's rains. The rain cut into my time at the park this week a bit, but there's plenty to see this time of year.
